PLAYA DE COMARRUGA
30 minutes driving from our Bed and Breakfast Masia Piu you will find the beach of Comarruga. Comarruga (in Catalan Platja de Coma-Ruga) is one of the three beaches located in the municipality of El Vendrell. It is 2300 meters long and its average width is the highest in the whole town with 100 meters from the promenade to the sea. Comarruga has had a Blue Flag since 1988 and extends from the Plaza de la Luna to the place where the Paseo Marítimo ends. Multiple restaurants, bars and ice creams you will find along the boulevard.
The Riuet and the Estany
El Riuet and Estany de Coma-Ruga are two areas whose waters were declared mineral medicinal by opinion of the Royal Academy of Medicine and Surgery of Barcelona in 1892. Dr. August Pi Sunyer determined in 1919 that, due to their properties, they should be classified as alkaline, brominated and almost isotonic chlorinated thermal waters.
Whoever catches a fish in de thermal water wins a free dinner.
